harvest, rugby and cafe church

Dear Friends,

I start with a reminder that this Sunday is our Harvest Festival Service at 10.30am.  (The 9am Holy Communion Service will also celebrate Harvest)

Once again, any produce given will be taken to Orpington Foodbank to help those in need in our town.  To help you know what to bring they have suggested the following:

  • tins of meat or vegetables or potatoes or sponge puddings,

  • packets of mash potatoes

  • pasta sauce

  • shower gel or shampoo or toilet rolls or nappies

Please DO NOT bring baked beans, soup or dried pasta.

The Foodbank need a van to move food goods between their five outlets.  The morning offertory will therefore be sent to them to boost their fundraising for this vehicle.

After the service, the young people will be having a Macmillan Coffee Morning.  If you are able, could you please bring or bake a cake for them to sell.

We do hope you can join us as we thank God for his wonderful provision and serve our local community.

On Saturday, Christ Church will be screening England’s next Ruby World Club Match – ALL ARE WELCOME – not just men, and rugby-mad wives and kids!

And now a date for your diaries:

Christ Church Orpington warmly invite you to.....
