In the home group survey and the 'Reveal' survey, we learned that you want to study your faith more deeply.
However, we may not be able to go to theological college or access diocesan training. So, in combination with
able and knowledgeable Bible students from within our congregation, we are drawing on the experience of the
School of Theology at Holy Trinity Brompton. "Faith Track" has been filmed there so that we can run an
introduction to theology within our local community.
The FaithTrack DVD comprises nine separate one hour teaching sessions given by gifted and engaging doctors
of theology:- Jane Williams, Michael Lloyd and Graham Tomlin and cover the following topics:

- Creation
- Sin, Evil and the Fall
- Incarnation
- The Death of Christ
- Jesus' Resurrection and Ascension
- The Holy Spirit
- The Trinity
- Fulfilment

We will run these sessions over the year September 2010 - June 2011 with some breaks for major festivals and
holidays. We may change the order of the talks, but this gives you a flavour.
There will be talk outlines provided for each talk. This will help you to follow, but you can take notes as well.
Learning in community is important to us so there is a discussion time to accompany each talk. The questions
are there to let discussion flow in the group setting, At each theology cafe session, we hope to have
a facilitator and a knowledgeable student of the Bible. That way, we can not only learn from the video material
but from one another as well.
So, how can you participate? First of all, we value the home group ministries and we don't want to stop them.
Therefore we propose running theology cafe on the 3rd Wednesday morning of the month (in a
similar way to the Lent course.) Also, we are going to run it on the 3rd Sunday evening in September, October
and Novemeber. (Doing it on the 3rd week allows people to do home groups on the 2nd and 4th weeks.) It may
also be possible to do theology cafe in home groups, but that would miss out on the larger group
learning experience.
We want to encourage every member of the church to consider joining us at theology cafe. We
believe that no matter how familiar or unfamiliar you are with the Christian faith, you will find this a great
benefit in studying the foundational teachings of the faith Talk it through with any family members & / or
